Advent Links-SAUC Education Centre is a training centre offering certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, and specialist diplomas in early childhood education that are approved by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports. In collaboration with Edith Cowan University, the Bachelor program can be completed on campus.
The old educational institution called Southeast Asia Union College (SAUC) was established and registered with the Ministry of Education in 1908 and Early Childhood Education was one of the six courses offered in 1971 with 10 students.
In 1997, SAUC, began its collaboration with Edith Cowan University in Australia, to offer a Bachelor of Social Science in Children and Family Studies. The following year 1998 Advent Links – SAUC Education Centre was established as a specialized training centre for early childhood and family education. In 2000 Advent Links - SAUC was relocated to its present location at 299 Thomson road.

About Dr Lily Wong

We cannot mention about Advent Links-SAUC without mentioning the CEO and Founder - Dr Lily Wong.
Dr Wong has more than 40 years of experience in teaching children, and training teachers on child care and education. She was one of the pioneer who created the first Early Childhood Diploma in Singapore, and was and still is one of the key advisors to Ministry of Education (MOE) and MCYS.
She has conducted classes, trained many teachers and advisors to many government related organizations of all countries - from third world countries to developed countries; and renowed schools, colleges and universities from all over the world.

The advantage of starting children early on the development of money management skills is the ability to start the teaching before neural pruning starts on the child's (ref: chapter two of Money Champ Book).
Education researchers have confirmed higher chance of developing life skills and habits for children below 12 years old.

Here's the statistics on child development gathered for most children in general:
- Neural pruning starts from 6 years old
- Child's behaviour and habits is 95% developed by 10 years old;
- Our habits and behaviour are more than 99% devleoped by 20 years old, although it can still be changed with preserverance.
